The studio clock counters made by ESE in El Segundo can have their reset tripped by a simple GPI relay contact closure, like those a switcher does.

The final output is to tape and is SD....the majority of the broadcast is natively SD only some portions are natively HD and thus the need for downconversion. The AE thing works...its just a extra ste

If you have soundtrack pro on your computer (you should if you have Final Cut Studio) I would use the noise filter it provides. Just search Soundtrack's help file for noise removal.
