Thanks Shane, indeed I'm aware how to rename clips in the browser as you advise - however that's not what I'm trying to do, rather, I want to rename clips on the TIMELINE after using "Reconnect Media.

One thing to note is that the EX1 can also be heavily customized in it's menus for color rendering. So there isn't such a thing as a "standard EX1 image." They all vary based on the color matrix used,
