I seem to have found a fix! If I change the mp4 file extensions to .mov and then set the Color Space Override to Rec. 709 in FCPX, the clips play back with no strange color issues! Yay! Jason Jenkins

I'd personally colour correct the clips inside the multiclip editor once the multicam has been created. Any changes there will flow on globally to your edit so you can go back and tweak it at any time
