Is your font monospaced If not then you should be careful that the 10th character in a string of 20 characters might not be the middle. Hence why you might be having to fudge things to get the result

If you made each car a child of the parent in front of it, then this code should give you the effect I think you're after delay = effect("delay")("Slider"); parent.fromWorld(toWorld(anchorPoint,time-d
acceleration expression

Hi all. So I'm experimenting with a technique that I think would be very useful. Basically, I created an expression that would use a layer's inPoint and outPoint along with a predefined start and end

Thanks Dan. You've just brought clarity to the vague idea I had of approaching it. By 'storing it as an array' I meant something along the lines of using it to calculate all the previous sections and

The easiest way would be to use a 3D application (Cinema 4D etc) to create a simple dodecahedron and import that into Element 3D. Because I'm waiting for something to render, I thought I'd actually cr

Using a Shape Layer with a rectangle object that uses the sourceRectAtTime() expression that looks at the text layer, is probably the best way... Here is a useful tutorial for it... https: www.youtube
Impossible to create radial grid

Numerous possibilities exist to fill the comp with a boxed grid of circles (e.g. 50x50) using e.g. a particle emitter. It seems rather impossible though to distribute these circles on a radial grid fi

I think you can do that with the vector cross product: a = thisComp.layer("Null 1").transform.position; b = thisComp.layer("Null 2").transform.position; c = thisComp.layer("Null 3").transform.position

Re: Unexpected result with a multi dimensional array in a For loop

I think there's a better way. What was happening was that each element of pArray_1 was getting a pointer to tArray_1 instead of the data in the array, so at the end of the routine pArray_1 consisted o
