Strange behavior like that is often a result of some corruption with your media cache. You can clean them by using the clean button in app prefs media. Or you can go to the path listed there and delet

Jon, IMO the simpliest way is to select all the clips you want in the Project window in PPro, right click, select Make Multicam, tick the approriate options (sync by TC, sync by audio, etc.,) and PPro

When a drive is considered "Busy" it is write protected. Turn off anything that monitors it. Then try again. Make sure your external drive has no Permissions on it by using a format without the permis

Nevermind, I figured it out. Someone had adjusted the ISO within the source settings to 1600. I brought them back down to 400 and now it looks fine.
