Hi All, I was really use to Sorenson Squeeze and actually liked it a lot. Now all of a sudden they are no more. So I switched over to using Adobe Media Encoder for compressing my videos. I do a lot of

Tweaking should be done in your NLE if needed. Only if you have a huge batch of stuff that needs the same tweaking it's a good idea to do it in your compression applicatin. Now, to compress, from the

Hi James, I'm assuming you don't need the audio on your end, so why deal with embedded audio in the first place Just take a thunderbolt to DVI out and split that out for all your inputs, then take the

I've seen that too. I think its sort of a bogus error message, as I have even gotten it with DNX recorded footage. There's probably a bad frame in there somewhere...might even be the first frame, or c

What program to create lower thirds for live streaming multicam event?

Hello

I'm directing live streaming events. I want to add lowerthirds in during the event. We have a Panasonic 410 switcher. I know i have to downstream key it...etc.... But what I can't figure out - what software program I can use to create, or just keep track of the lower thirds > play them out of the computer into the switcher.

Can anyone suggest easy, stand alone software for macbook. Pro Presenter ? ANything easier. Again, just want to role in custom lower thirds using our switcher and macbook pro laptop. THanks for reply in advance

We create them in PS, then export to PowerPoint for text adding. Though PP is not pro quality, it does allow easy editing, which inevitably has to happen right before TX. We take the HDMI out of the w

Buying advice - which codec device for multi cam. Kipro or P2 recorder

Hi, would love to hear some opinions on what to do here. Concert hall using a mixture of robotic cams Panasonic AW-HE120 and the Panasonic 250 as well.
Here is the dilemma. The robotic cam has no recording device. Im trying to match the 250's shooting AVC Intra100. Now if money wasnt an issue (ha ha) i would buy a Panasonic P2 recorder like AG-HPG20, for each Robotic cam we have and record AVC Intra100. Keeping everything AvcIntra for future generations. Assuming this is the best quality one can achieve that will live on for next 20years. Oh... but thats $4,700 a pop... very expensive when you have more than 3 robotics

My question is : If I bought instead a KiPro mini, recording DnxHD 220 or ProRes422 (which one is better?) Is there a problem mixing native camera format of Avc Intra 100 and the kipro either ProRes422 or DnxHD??? How will they match up?

Also - what if we shoot Avc Intra50 - and for the robotics still record DNxHD.... I know the Avc Intra 50 codec only records 1080 as 1440x1080...so you don't get the full HD raster. What about the KiPro - is that 1920x1080, all the time?

Thanks for any insight in advance. My brain hurts.

This is not a defect. The lens can zoom all the way in (616mm) as close as 3 feet without a close up filter. In this position, the optics are in a macro focus mode. In this situation, the lens cannot
