I can't speak to your budget, but I can recommend looking on eBay. I bot a Sennheiser shotgun mike there for about half price. Dunno where you're gonna get a mike for $150 that's worth anything except

Coming out of FCP you want to export the QT to self contained with "Current Settings" do not use a different codec then you timeline, this only adds another layer of compression and quality loss. Then

Lacie drive are terrible. The D2 drives anyway. I had 4 of them. Within two years three of them completely failed. The last one was making a funny noise so I took everything off of it and shelfed it.

i had a simaler with my sony hdr-fx1. footage would never break with time code. it captured as one continuous clip. i suggest u go 2 an apple center for some pro care.
