My shop has just switched from editing with Avid Newscutter on desktops with dual monitors to FCP7 on MacBook Pro 17 inch laptops. Software presents no problems but I'm not getting much speed working

Thanks, my needs, on a daily basis anyway, are pretty much meat and potatoes editing, where "no-error" speed is essential and I'm finding the small single monitor a real handicap. Thanks for the tips.
Noise in QT Export

My shop just transitioned to Sony XD Cams and FCP7 from Avid for broadcast purposes. Doesn't happen a lot but every so often when exporting the sequence to QT we get a static noise a couple of seconds
