The GoPro footage is in its own compressed codec (h.264) that will require conversion to match your XDCAM EX or ProRes footage

Great, so glad it worked out. When copying from an XDCAM make sure you see a CLIP folder with self contained .mxfs. Anytime you only see ProAV CLPR you are looking at raw files that cannot be edited.

the Transcode options are not for .mxf files, they are mostly for XDCAM ex .mp4 files. what other behavior is leading you to believe the file is corrupt
Do Catalyst Prepare 2.0 allow rewrap to mov on Import now.

Catalyst now include Catalyst Prepare , Edit and Browse but is any one ofthem able to rewrap to mov for FCP X or any other workflow , Mr Ian Cook say it should when version 2.0 arrive ..... Thank-you.

No rewrap yet but it will be implemented in a forthcoming update. FCP handles .mxf files natively now so for a number of our codecs this step will not be required.

currently no, the 8 channels are always there when you import or link via the media browser but it is up to Adobe to map them in the automated sequence. all the metadata they need to do so is there. i
