Great, so glad it worked out. When copying from an XDCAM make sure you see a CLIP folder with self contained .mxfs. Anytime you only see ProAV CLPR you are looking at raw files that cannot be edited.

the Transcode options are not for .mxf files, they are mostly for XDCAM ex .mp4 files. what other behavior is leading you to believe the file is corrupt
Do Catalyst Prepare 2.0 allow rewrap to mov on Import now.
by Daniel Goyette 4 years ago
Catalyst now include Catalyst Prepare , Edit and Browse but is any one ofthem able to rewrap to mov for FCP X or any other workflow , Mr Ian Cook say it should when version 2.0 arrive ..... Thank-you.
Re: Do Catalyst Prepare 2.0 allow rewrap to mov on Import now.

No rewrap yet but it will be implemented in a forthcoming update. FCP handles .mxf files natively now so for a number of our codecs this step will not be required.

Sony XDCAM, XAVC flavors and FCPX compatibility Since the newer XDCAM cameras are using a variety of XAVC codecs, I'd be curious to know Sony's roadmap for supporting them (wrapping, not transcoding)

Re: import the .mts into PC

Play Memories should see it but it is hard to say for sure without knowing which camera you are using. At the very least, copy the AVCHD folder from the card and you will have everything you need. Rec

When you see 'SLV' files these indicate that a 'Salvage' needs to be performed. There may have been a power or media issue during recording. If you have the camera handy, put the card into the camera

you won't be able to do that, i'm afraid.. we don't release SMs (though we do sell them). even if you found one you'd have to disassemble the camera, which is not an easy thing to do. after the board

The files are huge because they are are getting converted from a 20 Mbps codec to a 200 Mbps codec. They will grow by a factor of 10. You can recompress to XDCAM 50 or a slightly more lightweight code
