I had the exact same problem (exporting to regular ProRes - not HQ). It did not show up in FCP (7.0.3 and OSX 10.7.2) only on the exported clip. I 'fixed' it by match framing the clip and re-dropping

Never actually timed it, but faster than digitizing from tape! If I had to guess, I'd say I just did a 20minute clip in about 10 minutes Also in FCP 7 you can continue editing while the log & transfer
