I don t think you can compare dynamic linking to the motion publishing. With dynamic linking, yes you can open in AE and make changes. But that requires AE and a knowledge of how to operate AE. Hardly

Shane, Consolidation Worx4 X from Marquis Broadcast will consolidate your Final Cut projects with handles. It still has some limitations but it works well for most projects. I agree this is a very use

Not 100% sure what you re asking but an FCPX transition is either centred around your edit point or, if there s not enough frames in one or both clips to do that, will warn you and move the edit point

Activate Clip Skimming then it should work. Just hover over your clip with the mouse trackpad. You also can map Trim Start and Trim End to 'g' and 'h' without modifier, superfast... . . .
