Agreed completely. And I don't think a market with one, Highlander-like, NLE is what anyone should want. Competition breeds progress.
Call me crazy if you want... but I know an imminent extinction when I see one. :)

Depending on the market you're in, one can make the argument that it might be more valuable to expand your skillset so you can handle things like keying, tracking, grading etc on the picture side and
