The launch speed and significant performance increase alone makes this a valuable update. Running it on a circa 2009 MBP 2.66 Core 2 Duo 8 GB RAM and VERY happy.

Check that the disc you are playing it back from has enough speed and "headroom". If it is nearly full you can have problems, especially if it is your start up disc. Also check that your open windows

I have shoot concerts with smoke haze, if I pull a little bit of blue out of the highlights and mids, it helps to cut through the haze.
