Since you're already using a Hackintosh you may as well try booting under windows. HP's LTFS and LTO drives work ok with your card under Win7. LTFS also works on the Mac, it's just not great and slow

It's a well known problem with Apple's 64bit QT APIs, a bug out there for years and unfixed. You may even run into this when mounting your shares via Samba. Adobe is not the only one with that problem
