Yes, and if that doesn't do it try cmd ctrl+shift+H, which is the shortcut to hide show layer controls and other overlays in the comp viewer.

Compound blur renders much faster than Lens Blur. Most of the time, unless you have a very large scene with lots of distance between the foreground and background objects, your z depth pass will not h

I don't see any file attached, but I would assume the edge(s) of the image you are mirroring might not be totally clean. Maybe open in Photoshop and check it out. If you don't find a problem with the

"U" shows all keyframes for selected layers. "UU" shows all changed parameters including keyframes for selected layers.

"I have two suggestions. First make sure your blur is set to repeat edge pixels." That option is only available in Fast Blur and Box Blur but not Gaussian, so maybe try using one of those blurs instea

If I understand your question, you want to expand the mask properties and add a keyframe for the mask path. Move forward in time to where you want the second keyframe, then with the mask selected hit

Strange, it's working here. If you turn off continuous rasterization on the pre-comp, then the pre-comp will need to have its 3D switch enabled and "casts shadows" option turned on. Erik Waluska EAWme

If you have a clean plate of the background you can probably use the difference matte effect. Kevin Mcauliffe has a tutorial on the difference matte here on the cow.
