hmm, it seems with open gl on it renders 25 seconds with black box glitches... its supposed to be one minute, but no error box comes up. any thoughts

Hi Adobe application creates cache files when you import assets in project . If you want to delete files you can go to following path : Mac :labuser Library Preferences Adobe Common Media Cache Files

Eric: GIven your situation I would work in uncompressed or ProRes. In FCP I'd avoid the animation codec, although your mileage may vary. ProRes HQ would be my first choice
