I know it is not exactly the answer that you are looking for, but we use either Epiphan or Matrox hardware solutions for screen captures. The resolution and frame rate are far superior to any software

Hi, You probably have scale to frame size selected in preferences. You can right click the clip in the sequence and deselect that option on an individual basis or alter the preference altogether. Hope

Seems like one of the weaknesses of mixing audio in FCP, at least this version. Making subgroups of faders is pretty key to the enterprise. "I always pass on free advice -- its never of any use to me"
