relink mpeg footage
by Enginn Heima 5 years ago
Hello. I'm opening up an old AE project and trying to relink the media gone offline by using the "replace footage" option. The media files are mpegs and they were originally shot on a JVC GY-HD100. Wh
Re: relink mpeg footage

Thanks. No, no codec packs. I went back to AE CS5.5, and there is no problem there... go figure.

Hello.

I'm opening a AE cs6 project on another machine and trying to relink my footage. I've kept exactly the same folder structures as on the other machine, but still AE doesn't seem to recognize it.

Each time I select an offline footage and go to replace footage, AE only replaces that one file and won't replace the rest of the footage that's in the same directory. Replacing the footage one by one is going to be quite laborious, since there are hundreds of them!

I was thinking maybe some you guys had a trick up your sleeves!

I might add that the footage I'm having this linking problems with are all .mpegs - there were other formats such as .mxfs and there I had no problems, I selected one .mxf and AE found the rest of the .mxfs that were in the same directory.

Best regards.

Skip intro button
by Enginn Heima 10 years ago
Any hints on how to create a "skip intro" button in Encore CS4 I would like to have a timeline play on inserting the DVD but to have a skip intro button below video (or even better, over the video)...
Re: Skip intro button
by Joe Bowden 10 years ago
The only way to do this in Encore is to use a motion menu instead of a timeline. If the video is of long duration, note there is a limit of 1 GB for motion menus on a disc.

Well it does state that "the LCD can also be switched to 1:1 ratio, which partially shows the signal in its original native resolution." That should do it, or what do you think

JVC HD100 and Panasonic HVX200 on the same timeline?
by Enginn Heima 11 years ago
Is this possible in CS3 I'm editing a film was shot on the JVC camera in a 1280x720 (25fps progressive) proHD format and I want to add footage to my timeline that will be shot on the Panasonic HVX200.
Re: JVC HD100 and Panasonic HVX200 on the same timeline?

I've added the Panasonic rushes into the timeline, and it's working like a charm. Needs some rendering, 1min rushes equals 1min rendering time, not a big deal. Thanks again Vincent.

Solid red highlights rarely look good, especially over pure white text. Adding to the problem is that subpicture highlights can't be anti-aliased. You can experiment with stroked text in PS and multip
