I created this tutorial seven or eight years ago but it still applies. How to create a five column digital VU meter that responds to whatever music you want with each column reacting to its own band o
Re: Digital VU Meter Tutorial

Very cool tutorial. I immediately through it would make a great Motion Generator for FCP X until I realized that you can't have an Audio Drop Zone so there would be no way to assign your own audio onc
FCPX-Suddenly appearing audio fails

Suddenly, my favorite CrumplePop audio plugins don't work. Built-in noise reduction now faulty with 'fade in' over a few seconds at the beginning and again at the beginning of every clip. Those fade-i
Text input window bug

I do plain text subtitling. I'm not talking about TV subtitles that you turn on and off as needed, but rather plain text below the video. Very simple subtitling. Because these videos are meant to be u

Jerry, Kannan said exactly what I wanted to say and he did it very well. I just want to emphasize a couple of his points. The first is to forget everything you know about NLE's. Every. Thing. The Magn
FCPX 10.3 Bugs

This seems like a good place to start listing bugs as you run across them. So far I've hit these intermittent UI bugs: 1. Occasionally the playhead loses focus on which is the active pane in dual disp

I do a lot of subtitling where I copy text from a spreadsheet and paste into a text object. That text object spans the entire length of the video ready to format and bite off a little, format and bite

Re: Blade clips in Multicam angle editor

I once was baffled by the inability to move one clip on an angle without affecting a second clip on the same angle. How did i get into this 'mode' I reviewed Mark Spencer's excellent tutorial 'Multica
Somebody enlighten me on pasting keyframes
