There is no way at present to preview HDV footage on your timeline via firewire. I use the PNY540 graphics card with HD breakout box to preview timeline via overlay. With AspectHD much is in realtime
Does Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 REALLY brings HD editing to the desktop as they claim?
by James Lynch 14 years ago
After purchasing a Sony Z1u I purchased Premiere Pro 1.5. They claim on their site that "Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 software brings HD editing to the desktop". The fact of the matter is that Pro 1.5 can n

Sounds like you've got a technical problem which is probably hardware related. I trust that you have two drives in your system - one for software and the other for AV use. If not, get a second drive a

Barry, any idea of price and capacity Without this option the HVX200 is going to be a hard sell for many applications. Derek Antonio Serra Filmmaker www.controversifilms.co.za www.indv.co.za

The Citidisk is perfect for use with the Sony Z1 FX1 HDV cameras. I doubt it'll handle the bandwidth required for DVCPRO HD in its current configuration though.Derek Antonio Serra Filmmaker www.contro

I see the original poster has not bothered to respond. Maybe he's just a FCP fan who's stirring here in the PP forum. If anybody needs assurances that software does not maketh the man (or woman) just

I say we club together and erect a shrine to Jan. I'd suggest a bronze effigy with her cradling the camera in her arms. Panasonic fans could make yearly pilgrimages to the shrine based on the actual r
Great news...now you just have to wait six months!

I'm happy for all of those who dislike Sony and HDV that Panasonic plan to deliver what on paper at least is an incredible product. Once P2 cards reach the 32GB mark at less than $ 500 this will defin

Re: NO p2 for me! Forget it!

I agree that something like P2 may well be the future - but in the here and now it's going to be a hard sell with XDCAM already established and XDCAM-HD in the offing. These format wars are really exh
