David is a 30 year veteran of the broadcast industry. He began his career at Nashville’s #1 television station, WSMV, as a studio camera operator and held several positions there including video tape operator, assistant studio supervisor, director and EFP videographer in the commercial production unit. Projects included work for NBC’s Today Show, ad agencies and the station’s own award winning creative department. At WSMV, he won 5 regional Emmy awards for location and studio lighting, a Nashville Ad Federation Addy award and a Telly award.
David has freelanced for The Nashville Network, Nashville Public Television, Saturn Corporation and dozens of independent producers.

In addition to producing over 900 weekly programs and numerous promotional and fund raising productions, David managed the ministry’s production infrastructure, IT department and website, including streaming audio and video production.
Award winning work continued with an additional 7 Telly awards and an Omni award. Tools of the trade included Avid, Final Cut Studio, the Adobe Creative Suite and Digital Rapids Stream Z encoder.
David has been an occasional product advisor and a customer of Tapeonline since its inception and is glad to help answer your questions about recording media formats and capacities.
