I am trying to author my first blu-ray disc... and I am having a very strange issue. The footage is DVCPRO HD, shot on an HVX200, edited in FINAL CUT PRO in its DVCPRO native environment 1080, 24 fps.

You are smart enough to make this difference in mind. This is a good way to learn things and keep them in your memory. another difference for you to remember, For HD DVD, that means capacities of 15GB
Help! DVCPRO Frame Converter does not show up in TOOLS

Anyone have any thoughts as to why when I install the DVCPRO Frame Rate conversion tool it does not show up in my tools menu Running FCP 5.1.1 universal on a power book Intel dual core 2G, 2 gigs ram.

Thank you... thats what the problem was... I had originally used the version from the panasonic website, but I re installed using the one from the FCP 5.1 instal disc, and it now works perfect.
