You have to pick SOMETHING. Pick which type of footage gets its frame rate converted -- the 29.97 or the 50. You'll have to live with it either way, and there are no best practices for this..... ....o

On this issue, I come down to one issue: preservation of the original image's quality. I don't care about accommodating a wide variety of images. I don't care about aperture ISO concerns. That's artsy
