Second thought - the 2 3" adapter only appears practical if the broadcast lens has a built-in 2x converter, or perhaps using a digital crop.

Hi Danny,

Thanks again for your camera tips. I just purchased the HX9V and am learning up on it. Really like it so far. Was curious if you purchased a special high speed memory card or just a standard one (I borrowed my friend's high speed card for his go pro).

I'm having a hard time finding speed specs on cards. Worried about buying something that might cause me to drop frames.

For sports video, I'd give serious consideration to a Sony NEX-5n. You can inexpensively adapt any lens known to man onto it, except Canon EOS due to electronic aperture. 1080p @ 60fps!

Bob, My new machine has been delivered, along with the AJA LHi card. Apple mounted their hardware RAID card in slot 4, leaving slot 2 empty. As you warned, AJA recommends inserting the LHi in slot 2.
