Edit 23.98, master to SR 59.94i DF. Concerned about mix drifting.
by Daniel Edelman 7 years ago
We're editing and conforming 23.98, then mastering to HDCAM SR 59.94 DF. On the first episode, we did everything in 23.98 then opened the sequence in a 59.94 DF project. Avid added the motion effects

Thank you. I'm being very cautious about the whole thing because we have a very tight turnaround. We lay the video down Thursday night, mix and audio layback is Friday, it's QC'd Friday night, and it

You have actually done everything correctly considering they shot two very different looking formats to start with, before the hand-held shakiness... Once these formats are intercut next to each other

Setting track order when multi-clipping
by Daniel Edelman 9 years ago
I have 8 mono audio stems (5.1 and LtRt) and I wanted to group them. The problem is, I want the tracks to come out in a specific order. Any ideas as to how I can tell it which clip is A1, A2, etc
Re: Setting track order when multi-clipping
by Daniel Edelman 9 years ago
Sorry I'm referring to the "Make Multiclip" option in the bin (confusing Avid FCP nomenclature). All 8 of my audio clips are in perfect sync so I'd like to make them 1x 8 channel clip for ease of use.

Remove audio tracks from quicktime
by Daniel Edelman 9 years ago
I remember seeing a freeware app that would strip extraneous audio tracks from quicktime files. Anyone know what I'm talking about Thanks, Dan
Re: Remove audio tracks from quicktime

I Found my error- When batch exporting QTs form FCP, I neglected to give them extensions. QtChange cannot load the file without the .mov, even though quicktime can load and play the file. Lesson learn
