Can't interpolate keys without changing the position path?
by Daniel De Silva 1 year ago
Hi there, Just wanted to post a quick question as wasn't sure if I'm missing a step. Below I have animated an object using all x y z axis at the same time, a ball producing an infinite shape. I'd like

Ah ok that seems very useful, so It's basically a time remap for C4D Thanks, Dan.
GI flicker wont go away.. tried everything
by Daniel De Silva 2 years ago
Hi everyone, So in my scene, there are small clustered, white dancing flickering artifacts from certain angles on my model as it rotates. I'm aware this is a GI issue, but i've tried everything to no

Hi Steve, Thanks for the swift response. Tweaking those options don't seem to change anything unfortunately. My only other educated guess is that it's due to the immense mess the mesh is in as it was
Smoke behind hair harsh pixel intersection
by Daniel De Silva 4 years ago
Hey guys, I have smoke rendered in my scene using the Pyrocluster. At one point it appears behind the hair but for reasons I don't know about it has a really harsh intersection when the two are next t

it works with Physical renderer but the Hair looks somewhat different with Physical... Hair is volumetric with Standard renderer, so is Pyrocluster so it must be an interaction there (though a quick s
How to add in edge loop detail without pinches/tight lines?
by Daniel De Silva 4 years ago
Hey guys, This is a problem I've been struggling with for a while now and really need some help with. When it comes to sub-d modelling i struggle with modelling in lines and detail on objects with rou

Whilst were on the subject of quads, how would you make these triangles into quads efficiently I have attached the original triangle problem image, as well as two images of my attempts. the first imag
spline dynamics jitter after simulation?
by Daniel De Silva 4 years ago
Hi, I have a scene attached and was wondering how to get rid of a weird jitter that happens to the string card at around frame 300+ 9460_balloonjitter.c4d.zip Thanks for your help! Dan.
Re: spline dynamics jitter after simulation?

increasing Drag in the spline dynamics should stop it but in this case it won't go away unless you stop the Vibrate Tag at the same time (I tried increasing drag from 6 to 100 and vibrate down to zero

attach a balloon string to a balloon one end and a cardboard tag the other?

Hey guys, I need your help with a problem I can't seem to figure out. I have attached a balloon string using spline dynamics to the tied point of the balloon. What I'm having trouble with is (As seen

Here's a real basic example: 9442_balloonsign.c4d.zip You'd need to do a little more work to add rotation to the card. One way to do that would be to attack a null further up the string using the same

Manual Inertia bounce

Hey guys, I've used the inertia bounce expression in ae for years now and when i came to do it manually, i just couldnt get the same effect. I understand the logic, this is how I would do it: position

Hi Kevin, I think I understand what you mean, I assume the base value your reffering to is the stopping point of the object (last keyframe). Is there anyway you could be kind enough to mock me up a ba

Hi Steven, I wanted to figure out how to do it manually because I think it's good to know, feel like I'm cheating sometimes constantly using expressions!
Background banding when compressed in AE?

Hi Guys! I have a small issue, I added a background layer (72 dpi - JPEG) into my AE file, (both 1920-1080 res). When I go to render it at H.264 I receive banding on my background Although when I expo
