Simple (but effective) DIT soloution?
by Dan Nastro 3 months ago
I'm a run n' gun production master, but woefully inept in the art of DIT. Typically I copy and paste card contents to my drive into a folder with a unqiue title. Then repeat the process for my redunda

I have 10 licenses of Hedge for the past over a year. I have moved maybe 2 PB of Arriraw, Red, Panasonic Raw, Sony Raw, and numerous other files for about 20 feature films using Hedge. And their featu

Cut in a 2K timeline and reframe as needed. As you cut clips to the timeline use "set to frame size" (not "scale") to fill the frame. I'm not exactly sure how the GH4 handles TC, but in my experience,

I'm having the same issues - random audio glitches. Some in .aiff files directly from a VO person. Render and replace audio has no effect. Deleting common folders and preview files has no effect. (Wou

If everything is synced, highlight the various angles, right click and choose "Nest." It will become one clip. Right click on this clip and choose "Multicam-Enable" Renny

I used to have an Avid FastTrack interface...it has a single mic input, I think they make a 4-input version as well...It's always worked great in ProTools and Soundtrack Pro so I assume it would work

I've noticed that whatever format I export out of CC the black levels seem to be higher than when i color correct inside the program. I am guessing this is the because it's exporting at Rec709 levels

I've uploaded a view from the WFM of the exact same frame, first still is the QT pro res file, the second is the project directly in PP. As you can see if you look side by side, there is a SLIGHT shif
Working with audio when mutliclipping...

Two constants in my workflow are multiclips and sending out to be mixed. The audio I receive is usually recorded in a camera with a Lav and a Shotgun mic. However, I've noticed with both CS 6 and 5.5

I assume you strictly mean multicamera sequences and not simple audio video merged clips. When constructing a multicamera sequence, I lay out the cameras and audio as usual, I then unlink all camera v
Real talk: How long does FCP7 have left?

I work for a company that uses exclusively FCP7 for all post work, personally I use CS6 for personal projects. In my opinion, while still imperfect, Adobe Premiere is going to carry the torch for FCP7

You must first transcode your XDCAM clip to ProRes. Cinema Tools can't work with long GOP compression schemes, only intraframe codecs.
