The reason we are NOT buying a full DaVinci control surface is...

thoughts: technique for creating gate weave in Resolve
by Blase Theodore 7 years ago
I wanted to add some gate weave within resolve, and figured I'd check to see if anyone else had pulled it off. My very rough theoretical idea would be to build an AE comp of a still with gateweave app

I think this should help :) My tutorial covers how to add camera shake but should apply to weave too. http: www.mixinglight.com 001-R9-ShakeyCamera-DM.html -- Dan Moran Colourist Smoke & Mirrors: Lond

So yeah, what a nightmare. I've got clients in the morning and my resolve, for all intents and purposes is dead. I'm grading a 1080p29.97 series of spots and only getting a max of 28fps. Like I said,

conforming multiple sequences from pre-conformed EDLS
by Nat Jencks 6 years ago
So I've always found that notching a single quicktime or DPX sequence into a timeline works fine, but only if you only have one shot in your master media pool. I've never known if this bug was a bug o

I think it may be a pixel aspect ratio thing as I've had the same issue when working with Anamorphic Alexa. I desqueeze for the grade on my HD monitor and then change the PAR back for render and the w

You'll need to speak to your Resolve system builder about that. You need the DVD as it will install everything you need -- Dan Moran Colourist Smoke & Mirrors: London www.danmorancolor.com blog

Just grade your footage to look like the stock. It's not that hard! I am not impressed with grading LUTs at all. You are limiting your creative control of the footage by using them. -- Dan Moran Colou
