Slow Motion
by Dean Crosby 8 years ago
I have a clip that pans across a football stadium, but the camera moves pretty fast. I want to add slow motion so it goes slower. I tried cntrl and dragging the clip to extend it and it works however
Re: Slow Motion
by D. Eric Franks 8 years ago
Not a hard and fast rule, but I generally consider 50% slower to be a maximum usable value. (I know it's a superstition leftover from the dark days of interlaced video, but it's still a good rule of t
nanoKONTROL2

Re: nanoKONTROL2

AhHa. Figured it out: Since the nanoKontrol is an inexpensive ($60) and small controller, Vegas has no idea where a slider fader is set on initialization. So when you activate a track to receive contr
Drag more than one clip with right click?
by Paul Gregory 8 years ago
I often use right click on a clip so that I can then drag the clip to a new location using shuffle. I haven't been able to drag more than one clip at a time this way. Can it be done Thanks in advance
Re: Drag more than one clip with right click?

Select the events you want to move by holding down the ctnl key and left clicking the events you want, and you can drag them all at once. If you hit the "G" key while they're all selected, that groups

Buring Blu-ray to dual layer DVD Disc

Re: Buring Blu-ray to dual layer DVD Disc

1)Dual layer DVD is totally up to the task of playing back high data-rate video. I've delivered 720p at 12 Mbps and had it play back perfectly on consumer Blu-ray players. 2)No. Match your source sett

Ah, excellent: you are talking about a lossless intermediary then, where you don't care at all how big the file is, you just want it perfect. In that case, I'd recommend AVI with None for the codec. I

Re: audio problem: only have one audio channel

It is entirely normal for professional monophonic mics to record to only one channel, specifically the left one. You can set the camera to duplicate the left monophonic channel to the right as well, b
Rolling credits vs Fading in and out Credits at end of film in Vegas

Fade In Out is more readable than scrolling rolling (while also agreeing that the fade is impracticable for long end credits).
Soft Edge

I'd like to place a smaller-sized video on top of a full-screen one and make the edges of the smaller one bleed (progressively dissolve) into the larger one. I can't figure out how to do that in Vegas

Position the smaller video using Track Motion and add the Sony Border FX with the Soft Edge preset to the event to fade the edges. jr www.johnrofrano.comwww.vasst.com

Since your footage is coming from SVHS tapes, it is very likely that your footage is not widescreen. So in that case you shouldn't make your project widescreen. Just make your projectsettings similar

There is a third option too, which is that you can drop I-frames on the last frame of the one clip and the first frame of the next, so you get two I-frames in a row, sandwiching the cut. That clearly
