I am trying to import some footage into FCPX from an external USB 3 portable Toshiba HD. Final Cut sees this as a camera - not as an HD. Other drives on my Mac are recognized as HD's. Any suggestions

this aint adobe but alot of file processing stuff like this is better done outside of adobe, so in this instance you could use audacity, lay it down in the tract and export each channel independently

My workaround was to open the files in Soundtrack save to AIFF and import to FCP and synch up. No idea why that happened to work. Vodoo stuff--wave a dead chicken 3 times over the MAC...
