Hi Rick I've never seen that error message, so I have to guess what might be wrong. I would guess the software you're using to produce the SCC file messed up somehow. I use Annotation Edit from Zeitan

Yes, the DVD standard is SD. Make sure you're exporting as widescreen so the DVD player can fill the monitor with the 16:9 picture. You want to squeeze every bit that you can out of the DVD standard.
