UPDATE: Well, here's what I did. I added my old standby input LUT "G7 to BM4K" which flattens the video, THEN I added an adjustment layer and added this Noam Kroll CineD LUT there and it looks great.

the only way you can see hdr is if it can show at least 1000 nits brightness in 10bits. That is by definition. You can still see 12 f-stops dynamic range in 8 bit, but luma values could have banding.

you don't have to black balance everytime. its a repair tool for calibration. this camera's manual says use white and fill whole frame or it averages the colors in your scene.

In camera, the sharpness and contrast is all the way down and only slight unsharp is added in post. for the grading, it looks like they warmed the white balance towards magenta.
