One advantage with 1080 is you can still edit in a 720 sequence, thus having room to push in and re-position shots without losing resolution. Chris

1) when I shoot 1080i 60 and then output it as an H264 file it comes out as 29.67 fps. Shouldn't is be 60 fps as I have the settings on FCP to look at the first clip and set that as the frame rate 2)

1080i 60i is 60 fields per second or 29.97 FPS. 1080i 30p is 29.97 FPS. The 170 is not that great in low light, you gotta bump up the gain, keep the shutter at 1 60. Chris

Nobody said anything about full raster Tom. We knows DVCPROHD is a thin raster format. The 200 shoots 1080p. You can export to a 1920x1080 file just fine with that. Chris
