This could 101 stuff, but I'm having the most peculiar issue with an interview video I'm trying to finish, and in some ways have finished, but as most people watch youtube on a smartphone without head

So question, limited budget at the moment, which is more likely to improve multiclip performance, I have Mac Pro 1,1 Dual Core 3Ghz, 12 GB ram, perhaps getting a bit long in the tooth, with an Areca A

Thanks guys. So, given the Areca is top of line raid controller card, and miniSAS is a good pipe through which the data is put, then faster drives would be your recommendation Don't worry I won't hold

Yes, me too, did I miss anything, anything at all, even vaguely or obliquely, remotely about Mac Pro Would the opening keynote include this normally, even if they are only interested in consumer toys

I do a lot of multiclip sequences editing, thats pretty much all I do. I tend to run 8 Atomos Ninjas, shooting 1920x1080 Pro LT, and anywhere between 1-4 Go pros which I convert Pro Res LT. The Ninjas

Hi Luis, Thats very kind of you. I will be in touch. I'm happy to replace these green drives, should it prove to be the issue in the end I was intending to upgrade from 1TB drives to 2TB soon anyway.

Atomos Ninja, with 2 large NPF batteries attached will run for 25hrs, already tested it. 750gb spinning drive will give 18hrs of Pro Res LT. If it's not covert, you can leave the camera plugged in on

What's the multicam like in PP and AvidMC All I can find on PP appears to max out at 4angles. Sports performance I tend to use at least 8 and as many as 12. Thats why I came to FCP....

If apple is deserting pro end of the market would they sell licence the FCP7 platform to a third party, like the FCP 7 development team to develop for the pro Market Errrrr.... Of course they wouldnt!

I own 5 ninjas to work in a multicam set up, utilising FCP7 multiclip feature. Not with an NX5 but V1, and I can confirm that the video produced is full 1920x1080 (rather than 1440x1080) through hdmi

The XDcam User website has a blurry glass cased modular mock up of avchd 35mm sensor cam in it's Tokyo blog piece. So long as it's got an uncompressed hdmi hdsdi, and xlr audio, then perhaps it's real
