You might-MIGHT-be able to have your colleague export an XML from 10.1 and try pulling it in that way. Possibly you could use Xto7 to bring it into FCP 7 and then export from FCP 7 to FCPX using 7toX.

You could also try exporting an XML out of FCP X and importing it into FCP 7 using Xto7 and then export your XML from 7 into after effects. Not free if you don't already own Xto7 but it works fairly w

Actually there's a pretty easy way to do this and get a good result. Paint a single rough line as the base of your "scribble" - a nice rough angled stroke works well. Set the width to what you want. A

Kenneth, Yes, it is pretty simple in Final Cut Pro and it should be with Premiere as well. As the clips are simply files, its just a matter of importing them into your NLE. Unless you're talking about
