I would highly recommend the "Expansion Slot Utility" that Jeremy suggested. That was our biggest hangup in installing the card.

You probably don't have an answer for this, but maybe you can ballpark it What is "fast enough" Is Octo-core minimum... or can one of the first generation MacPros do the job

My recommendation would be Google Earth. They have a pay-for-play version that looks pretty good. They use it on all the major networks. But I'm not certain how $$$ it is.
