We own an HDX900P. This is a for-broadcast only question, not the web. Most of our commercials now air on cable in HD. We occasionally will shoot 720 60P for slomotion. I actually prefer 1080 30P slow

I read the manual... looks like 30fps is the limit for now. Does anyone know if 60fps will be possible with the Alexa using the onboard SxS cards I see there are some updates to do, including enabling

The Goodman's guide to Varicam has a bunch of looks. If you can find a copy, its easy to enter the values into the camera. Or why not shoot flat and dial your look in post Christopher Bell Cinematogra

Older B W finders will not work on the P2 Varicams. The camera outputs 1080 to viewfinder... older models sent out 720p. Christopher Bell Cinematography www.christopher-bell.com

The lack of Native frame rate modes with the HPG20 P2 Portable is very unfortunate. The much less expensive FireStore FS-100 can record in Native modes as well as Quick Time files, so Panasonic missed
HDX900 RF warning

My advice to you is only buy a camera if you can pay it off quickly and get a return on your investment. Technology is moving so fast right now, your camera's value will go down quickly. Tape Varicams
