Not the answer you're looking for but in FCPX with Sony's plugin you'd be able to import the BPAV directly. H.264 from Canon also imports. If you're locked into using FCP7 then converting to Apple Pro

John, I think your right. Yes, I tried lining up the picture profiles etc. Issue is, not even the two Canon VIXia's are matching up with each other! Even when I put their two settings to directly auto

I recently sold a G5 2.0ghz DP for $1500 with just OS X 10.4.10 installed. It had 1.5 GB of ram and a 300GB HD. The buyer also bought a ProTools Rack 002 package for use on the G5. best of luck with y

i do streaming work for harvard, and we unfortunbatly are stuck using realplayer......i do however believe that sorenson3 is your best bet tho.

You can do this out of fcp just like you would quicktime by using quicktime conversion, or you can take it to a compressor, set up a preset, apply the preset to your exported video and hit go.

MPEG-2 is definitely not the solution. MPEG-4 is much better for the web, but if you were having problems with that, then you should look into the following: use MPEG-1, which will guarantee compatibi
