I like the idea of matching project settings to render settings. I will try that, but what if I'm using multiple types of source files. Canon 24p and canon 30p. What's the best option then

I currently use Vegas version 8.0b with Windows XP 32 bit. I am replacing this older PC and have built up a new system and installed Windows 7 64 bit. I had assumed i could install vegas on this sytem

you have been super helpful...just one more question (i think). i noticed on sony's website regarding system requirements for vegas platinum 9, they recommend a processor rated at 2.8 for running HDV

just started running windows 7 (64 bit) and my vegas 9 platinum keeps crashing even when i just add HDV clips to the timeline. i am using a brand new (3 days old) HP laptop running an i7 processor w 4
