I'm not much of a character guy but the usual thing is for the character to be one mesh rather than many (might be possible to do it that way, I don't know). Just import it and choose Splitting - Comb

No way to know from that message, but if you send the crash report to Maxon they should be able to tell you what's going on.

Update: I did in fact re-link the original 4k from my proxy files, however, just like I feared the original 50 fps footage of the original 4k move at a very fast rate and the length of my clip is diff
