Obviously this is a wicked old post, but this was one of the top retrievals Google offered (I am new to Motion) when searching for "Apple motion wipes." When I subsequently forget, and search again...

Howdy. Apologies if this answer already exists, but I have yet to find a good resolution for this problem: We have incoming C500 field footage which is awesome. Some clips are spanned, which is fine.

Ultrastudio 4K + 2014 Mac Pro = Not so good.
by Bruce Colgate 6 years ago
Howdy. So, without the Ultrastudio 4K connected to the trashcan (6core 16GB), FCPX flies. So responsive. When I turn on "A V Output", playback is fine for about 8-10 seconds, begins to stutter, and st

Agreed. They are unusually quiet, but perhaps that's because they are putting all their effort into getting this fix done. While we still like FCP7, we've moved on to FCPX after shunning it for the fi

The difference in dissolves
by Bruce Colgate 6 years ago
Howdy. Maybe it's me, or the 3 systems I have 10.0.8 running on, but to me, the dissolves in FCPX look different than the basic cross dissolve in FCP7. Apologies if this topic is old and discussed, bu

by Bruce Colgate 7 years ago
Howdy. Now that BlackMagic has released 9.5.3 of their desktop video driver, I would have thought external monitoring would be better; only sequences with BlackMagic presets seem to work. I can screen

Thanks Jason! Posts like this are terribly helpful to the community. It is surprising how often a bad power supply can bring production to its knees. Thanks again!! - Bruce Colgate

I just got off the phone with Pioneer regarding the incompatibility of the BDR 206 that Videoguys.com sells as their mac compatible Blu Ray burner. Long story short. The support tech on the phone said

I can tell you where we are in this. On this older Mac Pro (a 2,1 model), we have the 206 in the DX enclosure as sold by VideoGuys. We're using CS5 just now. It is connected through a D-Link USB 2.0 h
