Lynda.com is always a good place to start for all of these types of products. You aren't going to learn EVERYTHING about 3DS Max, but they are very good at the fundamentals.

Hello, Why don't you try putting your original layer into a pre-comp that is the same size of your composition and adding the Page Turn effect to the pre-comp. That should work. Also, the pro-version

why don't you try to make a pre-comp duplicate of your 3D Objects and then use the pre-comp as a track matte. Only the object you want to go infront of the stroke should go in the precomp.Brian Kayfit
