by Brian Dunning 2 years ago
I've just received a clip of a subject keyed over a white background. It's only a couple minutes long, but unfortunately it was shot with auto-exposure, so as she gestures, etc., the exposure changes.

by Brian Dunning 2 years ago
I have a number of layers that consist of simple JPG images. The only processing filters applied to them are cropping. They are all set to 100% opaque, Normal blend mode. Yet wherever they overlap in

That's not the case. Whenever a big one in the foreground was transparent, I reseeded the randomization to make them less noticeable.

FCPX background process will not quit.
by Brian Dunning 5 years ago
I have a background process that appears to be corrupt. It's trying to analyze a PSD file. I moved the file to the trash even, and the process is still there at 0% complete. I've quit and relaunched t

Keyframes on PSD layers - how to time them?
by Brian Dunning 6 years ago
I have a layered PSD as a background greenscreen image. It pans and zooms around as the host speaks. Meanwhile I need layered elements to turn on and off, which I'm trying to do with keyframing and op
Re: Keyframes on PSD layers - how to time them?

Trying it the other way around produced the same behavior. Whether it's a problem with my PSDs or a problem with FCPX, the layers do not like retaining their properties when split apart and or compoun
Exporting a compound clip loses audio and grows to 1 hour too long

Hello all - I used the tips I found on here to create a custom timeline at 1280x800 (video comes from screen captures). I duplicated my video clip and edited it directly, adding voiceover, callouts, e
