After more digging, I found what was probably where I should have started...if I had known remembered. I cleared my media cache by renaming my Adobe Common folder: https: forums.adobe.com thread 21529

I know workflow gets discussed here frequently, sorry if I missed the answer to this question. I'm working with several editors on the same project. I import a selected sequence via Dynamic Link using

Thanks, Alex. I'm going to look further and see if I can find a solution. It seems like there should at least be a choice of whether to look for original bins or create a new one. This something that
removing moire

Hello. I am looking for a way to remove some moire pattern on a suit. I haven't found the perfect solution yet. The closest thing I've found is this: http: forums.creativecow.net thread 2 926421#95565

This is one of those times I really appreciate the Cow! The slight Gaussian blur on a suit jacket saved me in a last-minute crisis...an executive's greeting that had to go out within a couple of hours

Steve, I checked the clip with Mediainfo and nothing jumps out as unusual. It's Sony DV codec, 720x480i, YUV. I just tried a JPEG AVI created from a still camera. That does not import either. Maybe my

An IT Dept. I can't name, is asking me to set up encryption for my media drives. I said I was worried that whatever software key they might use could jeopardize the media data. I just need a reality c

BJ, I agree with hiring an Israeli security consultant. I never knew what airport security was until flying out of Ben Gurion in Tel Aviv. They touched almost every item in every one of 4 cases. 45 mi

Fade In with green screen

I am looking for faster way to fade in out when using a green screen. Currently, I place a slug on a layer above my background and subject and then fade in out of that. Is there a better way Thanks! B
Re: Fade In with green screen

Should I render in the nest or in the original Yes, dissolving on a merged layer is what I'm looking for. There is a Nattress dissolve (G dissolve) that gets close, but still not perfect. I have tende
Pro Res field dominance - Canon 5D/7D

This was partially addressed a couple months back, but I wanted to double check. When I transcode a clip from a Canon 7D via MPEG Streamclip, it comes in with upper field dominance, but FCP's default

I made an interesting discovery, when I transcode to Pro Res LT 720p or XDCAM EX 30p with Upper field dominance selected in MPEG Streamclip (just like I did with the clips that I transcoded to Pro Res

Thank you for the response. I'm going to feather and garbagey garbage matte my way though. It's for a one-time web use. Most of it is clean...except when he swayed like a well-oiled sailor. Brett
Sennheiser Shotgun

I have a Sennheiser shotgun that's too thin to fit in the supplied mike holder on my EX-1. When I had a similar situation years ago with a Canon XL1, I used some foam padding with adhesive on one side

You could always simply use an on-camera shock mount. I've been very happy going this route using the camera shoe mount. Although now I'm interested in what was posted here last fall recommending an e

Terence, Good suggestion. I'm in Chicago and I'm familiar with the local affiliate of your company. I didn't know they did this, so this is a good resource. My boss decided to go the "safe" route and
