I just inherited a FCP system running very slowly. Do you have any virus protection installed Last editor had also installed Carbonite demo which created a big slow mess until we did a fun uninstall.

Importing P2 cards clip span

Bonnie1100 "How many times can you compress to DVD " Depends of the format of the audio. If the DVD's audio is in PCM (a.k.a. wav) format it is essentially uncompressed. You can bring that audio back

Even compressing it once causes a loss of quality. How much of a loss each time, or how many times Only your ears can tell you what is acceptable. It is ALWAYS best to work from an uncompressed source
