I just moved the text file over one frame and the clip became visible again and the sequence exported. This is obviously an FCPX bug.

FCP Changing Frame Rate After Import
by Bobby Hall 2 months ago
I imported some 29.97 fps H.264 footage into FCPX and chose optimized media. I noticed that my sequence settings said 30p, not 29.97p. I then looked at the optimized media files and they say 30 fps. I

Making 4x3 Footage Fit in 16x9 Timeline
by Bobby Hall 4 months ago
I have a project that was edited in FCP7 in this format: 720x480, NTSC DV (3:2), with pixel aspect ratio NTSC - CCIR 601 DV (720x480). I'm guessing this means a 4:3 video with non-square pixels. Anywa
Re: Making 4x3 Footage Fit in 16x9 Timeline

I think the problem is that the 720x480 sequence is using non-square pixels, and when I put that sequence in a 1920x1080 sequence, it thinks the pixels are square. I tried it again using a different p
LiveType project settings for 1080p timeline?

Converting AVI to ProRes

I'm trying to use MPEG Streamclip to convert some AVI files to ProRes. The problem is that the converted files are just black video with no audio. Anyone know how to fix this
Re: Converting AVI to ProRes

Transcoding them to DVCpro or any other codec doesn't work. I just get black video. Maybe the fact that Streamclip can't even play them means that I have to use a different program to convert them.
