Have you tried using a Physical Sky in your scene. It really helps with the realism even using the Standard Renderer with some ambient occlusion. Try it with and without GI. You may find that without

Duplicate your original comp and open the duplicate in the timeline. Go to the point in your timeline where you want this new comp to begin. Hit the "B" key. This sets the beginning of your work area.

You may have a gamma shift problem when you render out from AE in ProRes and then bring it back into Final Cut. To fix this and put it back to normal, go to the imported clip's Item Properties, then F
