by Arturo Glass 2 years ago
I started a new project I shot in 4K but am editing (and exporting) as 1920x1080. I'd like to use the source footage, at times, to do cut-aways alternative shots, by reframing an HD image within the 4

1) Not sure what you mean here... you mean you want to use both 4k version and HD version of the same source The only way to do that is to import 2 versions of the source material into your project (a

Thanks. And those markers can then be exported to Premiere If I didn't save the Prelude files I used when ingesting the footage, is there a way to import existing files into Prelude without having to

Hello, Its seems that export of batch list is no longer an option in PR CC 2018. I used this function all the time to create spreadsheet logs of my clips. Not sure why it was taken out (unless it's hi
Syncing footage with continuous timecode in Premiere

Prelude naming issues
by Arturo Glass 2 years ago
I'm batch converting AVCHD footage to ProRes using Prelude but running into some issues. The encoding goes well but for some reason, Prelude is only renaming some of the files, and not all. I have it
Re: Prelude naming issues

Another issue I'm running into is since I name all my files with the shoot day as the reel number, Card 1 from the day may have clips 1-5, and card 2 will have clips 6-20. Is there a way in Prelude to
AVCHD workflow suggestions?

I'm a recent convert to Premiere Pro. In the past I would ingest and encode all of my footage after each shoot. But now it looks like Premiere's ability to use AVCHD without pre-rendering footage can

I'm trying using your method of importing via the Media Browser, but for some reason it's still importing 4 or 5 files for one long spanned clip. Any idea how to work around this
FCP7 clips from NEXFS700 all have 00:00:00:00 as start time - appear as duplicate clips
by Arturo Glass 2 years ago
This used to only happen when I would use my Sony a6000 as a B-camera where when importing clips, their individual timecode always began at 00:00:00:00 instead of in-camera timecode. Is there a settin

I just figured it out. Ends up I was running FCP v7.0 and after updating to 7.0.3, it suddenly sees the metadata.
FS700 "Media Start" timecode always 00:00:00:00 in FCP 7

For the past couple weeks, my FS700 has been recording footage and always having each clip begin at a 00:00:00:00 timecode. In the past, when ingesting to FCP7, it would show me a different "Media Sta
FCP thinks clips are duplicates, but they're not

I have 2 clips in a sequence both shot on a Sony A6000. The issue is the timecode for each starts at 00:00:00;00. They have the same reel name, different clip names, but FCP thinks they're duplicates.

You didn't explain why you maintained the separation between those components as separate assets on the DVD. If there really isn't any need for them to be separately addressable or used elsewhere on t
