Canon has a plugin for FCPx, Premiere etc to edit MXF files. FCPx still reads the files even though you dont have the card file structurer intact. Canon XF Utility. -----------------------------------

AVS Video converter is not a very good choice. It converts to avi with the divx or xvid codec: difficult to edit maybe inpossible (dont use Vegas) Mpeg gets re encoded when tranfering to dvd: meaning
