well, don't forget to try and Import the file as well. But it sounds a lot like you have yourself a corrupt file. Don't forget that if you've rendered it out, there's usually a copy in the AME folder.

exporting at 300 causes problems for some reason. i always export 150 dpi. if the dimensions of your file were small, i'd say, yes, export at 300. If it's a large composition, output 150. Shutting off
